Non-formal education – wasting time or the way to success?

I was a little, when I started to engage in various projects, many people told me that I was losing time, and most important was formal education in school and next university,
I often ask myself -Why is important Non-formal education? When I grew up realized that Non-formal education is the most important for the development of the person and society.
By many authors non-formal education is seen as the “ideal’ form of education, far better in all respects than formal education. By others however it came to be seen as a sub-system of education, certainly not superior and by some as considerably inferior as formal schooling.
Let’s look at the basic definitions of different kinds of education.
Formal education : the hierarchically structured, chronologically graded ‘education system’, running from primary school through the university and including, in addition to general academic studies, a variety of specialized programmes and institutions for full-time technical and professional training.
Informal education: the truly lifelong process whereby every individual acquires attitudes, values, skills and knowledge from daily experience and the educative influences and resources in his or her environment – from family and neighbours, from work and play, from the market place, the library and the mass media.
Non-Formal Education: any organized educational activity outside the established formal system – whether operating separately or as an important feature of some broader activity – that is intended to serve identifiable learning clienteles and learning objectives.
Non-formal education became part of the international discourse on education policy in the late 1960s and early 1970s. It can be seen as related to the concepts of recurrent and lifelong learning.
EVS Is the best way to get informal education, learn how to solve problems through effective means, Meet people with different opinions, traditions and culture, To improve language skills.
In my work, I often need to used non-verbal communication, because I working with children, I helped them to do homework, once a week we have youth club, plan and organize different activities.
